Default What is guild faction points good for??

As the topic says...

My guild just joined Luxon's, and we start out with 5000 faction points. Now I "donated" 5000 more faction to the guild. How do the guild gain from that?? What can the points be used for??

Alliance Standing. If you have enough you "control" an outpost on the Canthan map.

If your Alliance isn't that big I wouldnt even sweat it - spent your faction on Jadite.

I probably much shed it lol.

Donating points to your Alliance increases its Alliance Rating.

The alliances with the most rating "control" the different outposts of the Canthan Map.

well most likeley you wasted faction by donating it to you'r aliance since most ppl wont even have a chance to use it for elite missions ore owning a town which is nonsen so you might as well spend it on jade/amber : /

well.. there must be a place to see how much you need to be among the top guilds... Else it will be nonsense for anyone to donate faction...

Do you get any benefits by "controlling" outposts or why would you want to have the control over a outpost...?

If you click on an alliance controlled outpost/city on the world map (the one where you press M), it will tell you how much faction that alliance has.

Also, if your alliance owns the city (Cavalon or that crappy excuse for a kurzick place) in the area then you have access to the elite mission (The Deep or that sad excuse for a kurzick elite mission).

Btw, I'm a Luxon.

You don't say...

Well, back on topic, you can also get a title for donating faction points to your guild, the first level is if you donate 250,000 faction points to any guild you are in, you get the title "Friend of the Kurzicks/Luxons," depending on which type of faction you donate. The title doesn't give you any kind of bonus like the Lightbringer or Wisdom titles though, just another title to show you like to Faction Farm or play Alliance Battles and don't care about crappy crafting materials that only sell for 3-500.
